So, what's this sitcom all about, anyway?

Silverlake 90026
loosely based on a true-ish story

Welcome to the city of dreams! But this ain’t no Beverly Hills, this is Silverlake - where the clothes are dark, the jeans are skinny, and the mustache is king. From here, three best-friends-for-life Hunter, Dana and Nick awkwardly shuffle their way up the Hollywood ladder as they and their motley crew of friends try to “fit in”. But in the city where “in” changes daily, there are sure to be some prat falls.

The Pilot: It’s Hunter and Dana’s 7-year anniversary, and they’re celebrating with a romantic dinner at their favorite restaurant, El Conquistador, with margaritas, candlelight and... their best friend Nick(?!). Since these friends-for-life all met on the same day, it makes sense to celebrate together, right?  Hunter plans to propose to Dana tonight, but is foiled by Nick’s vocal disdain for all things wedding. Later, in secret, Hunter asks and Dana accepts, but now they have to find a way to break the news to Nick without breaking his (miraculous baboon) heart. They turn for help to their trusty friend Freeman, an unlikely oracle of deadpan one-liners, but his unfortunate tendency towards panic attacks gets in the way. The plot reaches it’s climax during a birthday party at Tantra for Dana’s friend Stacie-Lyndsay, a spunky and neurotic young actress who just might have a little crush on Nick. The truth comes out in the bar bathroom, and as with all bathroom suspense, we can only hope that everything comes out ok in the end.

Silverlake 90026
is a love story to LA - celebrating an artsy and progressive neighborhood, with a wink and smile toward the unique brand of hipster that calls that neighborhood home. We plan to feature the area prominently, like a secondary character in the show, and highlight its natural beauty and diverse artistic talent- base. Because, let’s face it, Beverly Hills is just so 10 years ago.

We've worked on this pilot for 2 years and we're finally shooting next month with the assistance of some mega-veterans of the sitcom industry, but we need to raise a little kale to make it possible...  so come party with us this Thursday, June 23rd to support local, independent art!
